TOWNSHEND BACKTRACKS ON THE WHO

THE WHO star PETE TOWNSHEND has "changed his mind" over plans for the legendary group to record a new album and embark on a tour later this year (08).
The star recently announced in a fan club newsletter that he had agreed to several new projects - including heading back to the recording studio in September (08).
But just days after the original email, Townshend has backtracked - declaring he now doesn't want to start work on a new LP or play any more live shows.
The statement reads, "I've emailed everyone (in the band) to tell them I've changed my mind.
"I'm not mad. I'm not selfish. I really have to be strong enough to admit that today, I really do not have a clue what to do next."
