TOMLIN IS KING OF DOVE AWARDS
CHRIS TOMLIN became king of the Dove Awards last night (25Apr07) by picking up a host of trophies, including a second consecutive accolade for Artist Of The Year.
The Texas singer picked up a total of six gongs at the Gospel music awards, including Best Male Vocalist, Worship Song Of The Year and Best Pop/contemporary Album and Praise And Worship Album for his latest disc See The Morning.
Accepting one of his awards, Tomlin said, "I never felt like much of a singer. I just like to lead people in worship to God."
Other winners at the ceremony at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tennessee, include Natalie Grant for Best Female Vocalist and Aaron Shust for Best New Artist.
