TOM WAITS RELEASES ONE-OFF SINGLE
Hat-wearing, gravel-voiced song-writing legend TOM WAITS is set to release a one-off single to mark Record Store Day.
The seven-inch vinyl release is out from tomorrow (April 18th) and features three live tracks.
Fans will be able to hear versions of LUCINDA and AIN'T GOING DOWN THE WELL, which were recorded at the Fox Theatre.
The B-side of the release is a recording of BOTTOM OF THE WORLD, recorded at the Edinburgh Playhouse.
All three gigs took place in July of last year.
Commenting on his decision, Waits said: "The record store is the livery stable where I can tie up, feed and groom my ears."
Something of a music industry veteran, the singer-songwriter released his first album CLOSING TIME in 1973.
Since then, Waits has taken a more unconventional approach to his music as characterised by recordings such as SWORDFISHTROMBONES, released in 1983, and BONE MACHINE, which came out in 1992.
