TINCHY STRYDER'S THOM DENIAL

Tinchy Stryder has disagreed with Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke's claim that the music business is ''waiting to die''.

Tinchy Stryder has rubbished Thom Yorke's claim that the music industry is "waiting to die".

The 'Number One' singer disagrees with the Radiohead frontman's comments that albums are redundant and singles are the way forward.

The 22-year-old musician told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "Albums are not dead. The album is still the most important thing to me because it's a whole body of work.

"I grew up looking forward to everything about it, the booklet, the artwork, the track order. I spent ages making sure my album was worth buying. The most important thing when making music is quality.

"Maintaining that quality and making sure you are producing something worth investing in is still what it's about."

Yorke recently revealed Radiohead was considering releasing EPs and singles for the "foreseeable future" because full-length records were outdated.

He is quoted as saying: "There's a process of natural selection going on right now. The music business was waiting to die in its current form about twenty years ago. But then, hallelujah, the CD turned up and kept it going for a bit. But basically, it was dead. Now, the CD format is about to disappear."
