UMA THURMAN refuses to rule out cosmetic surgery as she gets older - insisting she understands why female actresses go under the knife.
The Kill Bill star turns 40 next year (09) and has so far steered clear of any surgical procedures in a bid to turn back the years.
But Thurman can appreciate why many stars in Hollywood go under the knife to halt the ageing process.
She says, "I totally understand, in my line of work, if someone feels that they're not going to be able to do the job they passionately love unless they cut their face.
"I haven't yet come to that sense of crisis. But I completely understand it - and I don't judge it. But I do think it's a pity, because I think women are so beautiful as they get older."
