THORNTON'S DAUGHTER WALKS FREE ON BAIL

BILLY BOB THORNTON's estranged daughter has been freed on bail - two months after the babysitter was arrested for neglecting a child who died in her care.
Amanda Brumfield - Thornton's 29-year-old child from his marriage to first wife Melissa Gatlin - was arrested in May (09) following an incident last October (08), when one-year-old Olivia Garcia fell from a playpen and hit her head.
The tot's death was ruled a homicide and Brumfield has been charged with a number of crimes, including first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse and aggravated manslaughter.
Brumfield - who has not had any contact with Thornton for several years - was released from Orange County Jail in Florida on Friday (24Jul09) after paying $279,000 (£186,000) for her freedom.
She is due to return to court in December (09) when she will stand trial.
