LATEST: Spooky spectre movie POLTERGEIST is set for the remake treatment, with a completely new cast. CRAIG T NELSON, the star of the original TOBE HOOPER and STEVEN SPIELBERG horror classic, was slated to star in the new film, but producers are now planning to recast the whole film. The new film won't be a complete remake, according to the website bloody-disgusting.com - there will be elements from screenwriter CLINT MORRIS' POLTERGEIST KAYERI sequel treatment included. The original 1982 movie starred the late HEATHER O'ROURKE as a little girl who channels evil spirits through a dead channel on the family TV. Morris says, "They (movie executives) may be using elements from my script for Kayeri but it definitely won't be the original cast anymore, and it definitely won't be a sequel. So it will now be called simply Poltergeist."
