THERON HOSTS SOUTH AFRICAN FUNDRAISER

South African actress CHARLIZE THERON paid tribute to her homeland at a fundraising event for the country in Hollywood last night (28JUN06). Theron hosted the bash, which sought to raise money for impoverished children in South Africa, on behalf of her charity African Outreach, and was joined by stars including her boyfriend STUART TOWNSEND, JAMIE FOXX, NICOLE RICHIE and LINDSAY LOHAN. Despite being based entirely in California, the actress vowed to remain loyal to the country of her birth and continue to help those less fortunate than her. Theron, 30, said, "I will always speak out. We have a beautiful country - the most beautiful I have seen."
