THE WHO SET FOR STAGE REVIVAL?

THE WHO are reportedly set to follow in the footsteps of QUEEN and ABBA by lighting up London's West End with a stage version of their rock opera QUADROPHENIA.
A dramatic adaptation of guitarist Pete Townshend's 1973 double album - about the Mod scene in 1960s England - is set to tour the U.K. in May later this year (09).
And producers are convinced the show would be a huge hit with theatregoers if it transferred to the British capital's West End.
A source tells Britain's Daily Express, "With the success of such shows as Queen's We Will Rock You, it's felt that Quadrophenia could have a lot of commercial appeal after all these years."
Townshend's opus, the group's sixth studio album, was adapted for the big screen in 1979, with rocker Sting and British actors Phil Daniels and Ray Winstone starring in the cult classic.
