Joaquin Phoenix is a brilliant actor. He is also a very sweet man. He has
known most of the talk show hosts, including Letterman, for years. He was
acting last night on Letterman's show and Letterman knew it and went along with
it. Joaq is getting plenty of publicity these days which is just what he wants
to jump start his new music career. Rest assured he will return to acting
again. Right now he just wants to persue another venue which is dear to his
heart, music. He is way too nice a guy to do such an interview without telling
Dave about it ahead of time. It even got publicity for the Letterman show so
no one is hurt and those of us who "know" Joaquin know he was just kidding.
