The producers of a planned prequel to period action film THE SCORPION KING are looking for an unknown to play a young DWAYNE 'THE ROCK' JOHNSON in the project. Casting is underway on The Scorpion King: Rise of the Akkadian, according to Moviehole.net, and filming will start in South Africa in October (07). Highlander director Russell Mulcahy will take charge of the film, a spin-off from The Mummy franchise. An insider says, "There is no requirement to look exactly like a young Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, but we still need an exotic quality, Polynesian, mixed race, Arabic, brunette. We also need our Mathayus to reflect the charisma and comedic elements of the character created by The Rock."
