THE SCRIPT VICTORIOUS AT METEOR IRELAND MUSIC AWARDS

Irish pop rockers THE SCRIPT celebrated St. Patrick's Day (17Mar09) in style after scooping the top prizes at the Meteor Ireland Music Awards.
The band were the big winners at the ninth annual prizegiving on Tuesday in their hometown of Dublin, taking home trophies for Best Band and Best Irish Album for their self-titled debut.
Meanwhile, Boyzone lost out to fellow boyband Westlife, who won the Best Irish Pop Act award for the ninth year running.
British singer James Morrison, who performed live, was named Best International Male.
