THE ROOTS' BASSIST DONS DRAG FOR LAUGHS

THE ROOTS bassist OWEN BIDDLE had U.S. TV audiences doubled up in laughter on Thursday night (15Oct09) when he donned drag to film a spoof of THE REAL HOUSEWIVES... reality series.
The acclaimed hip-hop group serves as the house band on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and Biddle joined presenter Fallon and members of the show's crew to put on a dress, make-up and a wig to portray a fictional Renee in a comedic segment named The Real Housewives of Late Night.
But Biddle gave the talk show's viewers more than they bargained for when he tripped down a flight of stairs as his wine-loving feminine alter ego Renee and bared his backside.
