THE NOLANS ENJOYED BEHAVING BADLY BEHIND INNOCENT IMAGE
Seventies' pop stars THE NOLANS weren't as angelic and innocent as they seemed, for the singing sisters enjoyed getting drunk and behaving badly away from the cameras, it has been revealed.
COLEEN NOLAN, the youngest of the I'm In The Mood For Dancing hitmakers, confesses they often liked to "get hammered" after performing on stage, and occasionally even took advantage of some of their male fans.
She says, "People used to think we came off stage, got a cup of cocoa and went to bed with a hot water bottle in fluffy robes and slippers and we all slept together. That wasn't the case. We'd sit in hotels until five or six in the morning getting absolutely plastered with the crew and the band. Then we'd all fall on the bus and sleep all the way to the next gig.
"Touring was crazy. If people had walked into the hotel and seen us getting hammered, they'd be shocked.
"I suppose there were men now and again but not like a different one every night, and not some random bloke we picked from the audience. It wasn't like: 'Have that man washed and sent to my room!'"
