THE MENTALIST TOPS WEEK'S RATINGS

CBS remained the most-watched network last week as its new drama The Mentalist topped the Nielsen ratings list for the first time. No other new series has reached the top spot since Desperate Housewives did so in 2005. The week also saw the comeback of Victoria's Secret Fashion Show , whose ratings have steadily fallen in recent years. It drew 8.7 million viewers this year, 1.2 million more than it drew a year ago.

Two and a Half Men , CBS, 8.6/13; 10. Sunday Night Football, NBC, 8.1/13.
