THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE QUEEN MAKE LONDON LIVE DEBUT
Former Blur stat DAMON ALBARN's new group THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE QUEEN made their live London debut last night (26OCT06) in front of a celeb-pack audience. The group - which consists of Albarn, THE CLASH's bassist PAUL SIMONON, THE VERVE guitarist SIMON TONG, and FELA KUTI drummer TONY ALLEN - played their entire self-titled debut album at the Camden Roundhouse to an adoring crowd, which included British rockers KAISER CHIEFS, rapper DIZZEE RASCAL and GNARLS BARKLEY. Opening the show, the SONG 2 hitmaker said, "It's nice to be back." The band also dedicated new track BEHIND THE SUN to the late English DJ JOHN PEEL, who died two years ago (04).
