THE GAME FACES GUN CHARGE
Rapper the Game is facing charges for making a criminal threat and possessing a firearm in a school zone after an alleged incident in Los Angeles.
The Game is accused of allegedly being in a fight during a basketball game in LA. According to the police, the rapper pulled a gun from his red Cadillac Escalade and threatened to shoot a player on the opposing team.
He was arrested at him home last month and was freed on bail. If convicted of the charge, the rapper could face five years in prison.
The Game rose to prominence on the US hip hop scene as a protege of 50 Cent and his group of affiliated rappers.
He released his debut album The Documentary in 2005, featuring guest vocals from 50 Cent, Nate Dogg and many others.
Dr Dre was also heavily involved in the production of the rapper's music and in 2006 he released his second record Doctor's Advocate.
The Game has since had a high-profile fallout with 50 Cent and has mocked the rapper's G-Unit fashion label.
