THE GAME ESCAPES DEFAMATION LAWSUIT

A defamation suit filed against rapper THE GAME has been dismissed.
The Dreams hitmaker, real name Jayceon Taylor, was involved in a scuffle in a Greensboro, North Carolina shopping mall in October 2005 when a group of security guards confronted the star and ordered his entourage to stop filming the rapper.
The Game, who was in the state to perform, was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, and he later used the video footage of the incident in his documentary DVD Stop Snitching/Stop Lying.
The five security guards featured in the film objected to having their image included in the video, while another claimed his face had been used in the marketing of the DVD.
They filed a defamation lawsuit against The Game in 2006, but a judge threw the case out of court in 2008.
The guards filed an appeal but their argument was dismissed once and for all by a North Carolina judge on Tuesday (20Oct09), reports AllHipHop.com.
But that's not the end of The Game's legal woes - he is facing allegations he failed to pay his attorneys for helping him avoid prison in another incident in 2007.
