THE FRATELLIS' RECORDING MISHAP DELAYS ALBUM
The recording of THE FRATELLIS' second album has been thrown into disarray after a studio technician bailed out on the rockers.
The band's sophomore LP Here We Stand was slated for a U.K. release this week (begs07Apr08) - but has been delayed until June (08) after their mixer left the group to work on another project.
Frontman Jon Fratelli explains, "The guy cried off the day before he was due to start. I was devastated. You just want to give up.
"He hadn't finished the Coldplay album but, as much as I like them, I thought that was a rubbish reason."
But there was an upside to the setback - the singer ended up composing another song during the intermission that will be included on the forthcoming disc: "I wrote Straggler's Moon a week before the new guy who mixed the record came in."
