THE DARK KNIGHT STAR BALE ARRESTED OVER ASSAULT

The Dark Knight star Christian Bale has been arrested in London over allegations he assaulted two family members.

A Metropolitan police spokesman confirmed that a 34-year-old man had been arrested over allegations of assault after attending a central London police station by appointment today.

The man is currently being questioned by police and remains in custody.

Reports claim Bale lashed out at his mother and sister in his suite at the Dorchester hotel on Sunday.

The actor was in the capital for the European premier of the latest Batman film, The Dark Knight, in Leicester Square last night.
