THE CURE SCRAP U.S. DATES

Goth rockers THE CURE have scrapped their North American tour so they can spend more time completing their upcoming double album. The Lovecats hitmakers have posted a message on their website apologising to fans, insisting they'll reschedule the autumn (07) dates for 2008. Frontman Robert Smith writes, "The schedule, as it stands, only gives us a couple of weeks to finish our new double album before we hit the road again, and we know this just isn't enough time to complete the project to our total satisfaction." He adds the group also wants to "remodel/rework the live show for North America, change things around, incorporate new songs."
