THE CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON has died, aged 79. Tahitian ex-Marine Ben Chapman donned the mask and costume for the cult 1954 3-D movie. Chapman, who was a contracted actor at Universal in the early 1950s, went on to become a successful realtor in Honolulu, Hawaii.
