TEARFUL SMITH PRAISES FAWCETT'S CANCER FIGHT

Actress JACLYN SMITH fought back tears as she paid tribute to her cancer-fighting former CHARLIE'S ANGELS co-star FARRAH FAWCETT on U.S. TV on Wednesday (8Oct08).
The pair have remained close friends since meeting on the 70s show, and have supported each other through battles with the disease - Smith beat breast cancer in 2003.
Smith is now returning the favour with Fawcett, who is being treated for anal cancer - and she welled up while talking about her pal's plight.
The 62-year-old told talk show host Bonnie Hunt, "She's amazing. She is strong and courageous. When I talk to her, she makes me laugh. I'm proud of her. She's my friend."
