TAYLOR STITCHED UP FOR PRE-INAUGURAL GIG

Singer/songwriter JAMES TAYLOR was admitted to hospital and given 50 stitches before he stepped on stage for a concert celebrating the inauguration of U.S. President BARACK OBAMA - after falling at a rehearsal.
The You've Got a Friend hitmaker wore a hat and sunglasses during his performance at We Are One: The Obama Inaugural Celebration at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C. on Sunday (18Jan09).
A spokesperson for Taylor explains the cover-up to the New York Post, "(Taylor) fell during rehearsal and cut his forehead on a guitar."
