TAYLOR SINGS FOR QUEEN MARY 2 TRIP
JAMES TAYLOR will be singing for his supper onboard the Queen Mary 2 after agreeing to perform for cruise passengers in exchange for a free boatride to Britain.
The folk legend has negotiated a deal with cruise firm Cunard to ship his entire band from North America to the U.K. so that he can play a string of concerts there in June (09).
And in exchange for the transport, the star will have to provide entertainment for his fellow seafarers.
But the You've Got A Friend hitmaker is excited about the trip on the transatlantic ship, which is the world's largest and most expensive ocean liner.
He says, "To bring all those people over to Europe and to bring all the equipment is a big hump to get over.
"So we have made a deal with Cunard line to bring everybody over on the Queen Mary. We are going to rehearse aboard the boat and pay our way with a couple of concerts at the end of the passage."
