TAYLOR NAMED TOP 'WUSS'
Folk-rocker JAMES TAYLOR has been named the biggest 'wuss' ever by Blender magazine. The sensitive songwriter was slammed in the magazine's August (06) issue for initiating "an era of confessional, listen-to-my-troubles singer/songwriters and turn(ing) self-examination into a hallmark of the baby-boom generation." Newly divorced NICK LACHEY claimed the number two spot for his new album, WHAT'S LEFT OF ME, which chronicles his split from JESSICA SIMPSON. According to the magazine it "wallows in so much misery and self-pity it makes MORRISSEY sound like the PUSSYCAT DOLLS." Next on the list are DAN FOGELBERG, BOYZ II MEN, PETER CETERA, KENNY G, RASCAL FLATTS, BABY FACE and COLDPLAY's CHRIS MARTIN. A round-up of "sissy songs" includes AMERICAN IDOL TAYLOR HICKS' DO I MAKE YOU PROUD and YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL by JAMES BLUNT. Blender calls Blunt "this generation's DEBBY BOONE (YOU LIGHT UP MY LIFE), only not as pretty."
