TAYLOR DENIES JACKSON GRIEF MELTDOWN

ELIZABETH TAYLOR has hit out at reports she was recently hospitalised after the death of her close pal MICHAEL JACKSON left her emotionally drained.
The 77 year old legend, who has been battling ill health for the last decade, was reportedly rushed to a medical centre near her home in Beverly Hills on Monday (13Jul09).
Taylor was allegedly being treated for exhaustion due to an emotional breakdown following Jackson's death.
Some press reports even speculated the star had to be sedated after a particularly severe attack of grief.
But the actress' representative has quashed the reports, insisting Taylor was taken to hospital for a "minor, though painful, surgical procedure".
The spokesperson tells Entertainment Tonight, "She is in for standard tests and a minor, though painful, surgical procedure. That's it. No drama, no shrieking, no sedation required. Nobody on her staff is worried. Period."
And the rep also released a statement from Taylor herself, saying, "I twittered in anticipation of what some of the cheaper rags would say about my going into the hospital at this time. I am fine and will be home soon."
