TATUM O'NEAL: 'MY FATHER HATES ME FOR WINNING OSCAR'
RYAN O'NEAL began "hating" his daughter TATUM O'NEAL immediately after she became the youngest person to ever win a competitive Academy Award, according to the former child star. Tatum was only 10 years old when she won the Best Supporting Actress for her role in 1973's PAPER MOON, in which she starred alongside her father. And Tatum claims her father has resented her success ever since. She says, "Things with my dad were pretty good until I won an Academy Award. "He didn't even come with me that night - my grandparents took me. He was really loving me until I got more attention than he did. "Then he hated me. Literally hated me. Forever."
