TARANTINO'S BOND GRUDGE

QUENTIN TARANTINO has attacked JAMES BOND movie bosses for stealing his idea to remake CASINO ROYALE, and not giving him the credit. The PULP FICTION director pitched the idea of making the movie with PIERCE BROSNAN as 007, but was told it wasn't possible. Bond producers then replaced Brosnan with DANIEL CRAIG and made Casino Royale, directed by MARTIN CAMPBELL. Tarantino says, "I resent that none of them gave me a shout out that I'm the one (that) got them making Casino Royale." He claims when movie mogul HARVEY WEINSTEIN suggested Tarantino to studio chiefs, they snubbed the idea - fearing his movie would be too good. Tarantino says, "They told him, 'We're afraid Quentin's going to make it too good and f**k the rest of the series."
