TAKE THAT star HOWARD DONALD was so devastated when the boyband first split he contemplated suicide. The group disbanded in 1996, following the departure of Robbie Williams a year previously.
And Donald admits that he was reluctant to let go off his pop star status, and even considered ending his life after they went their separate ways.
He tells British magazine Q, "I didn't want us to split ... I was p**sed off. I walked out the hotel and I wanted to throw myself into the Thames... but I thought 'Knowing me I'll end up in the middle of the river and the tide will go out and I'll be in the papers stuck in the Thames mud'."
The band are currently enjoying a highly successful comeback after reuniting in 2005.
