SWIZZ BEATZ UNDER FIRE BY POLICE FOR 'NO SNITCHING' RULE
Rapper/producer SWIZZ BEATZ' plans to appear at a New Jersey peace rally are in doubt after local authorities voiced their objections to the 'anti-snitching' message they believe he advocates in his songs.
The beatmaker is due to perform at Camden city's Peace on the Streets march on Thursday (26Jul07), but police are demanding the star take back his promotion of the rap community's 'no snitching' rule - which they claim is addressed in his single It's Me Snitches - before he takes to the stage.
The rule of the streets urges people not to turn their fellow man in to cops, even if they have knowledge of a serious crime.
However, city officials have ignored police calls to cancel Swizz Beatz' performance, because they claim they have been assured the hip-hop star - real name Kasseem Dean - will only perform tracks with a positive message.
