TAYLOR SWIFT found a new shoulder to cry on at New York's KINGS OF LEON concert on Monday night (14Sep09) after actor CHACE CRAWFORD offered her advice after her KANYE WEST moment the night before.
The actor spotted the country singer at the concert, dashed to her side and gave her a hug - offering her moral support after her Best Female Video award acceptance speech at Sunday's (13Sep09) MTV Video Music Awards was interrupted by the rude rapper.
An concertgoer tells UsMagazine.com, "He said, 'I'm so proud of you. Don't let anyone ever take your spotlight ever again.'
"Chase is like an older brother type and is very protective over her."
Insiders insist there's nothing but friendship going on between the couple, although Swift did once confess the Gossip Girl star was her dream prom date.
