SWAYZE'S DEATH MAKES LOWE APPRECIATE ACTING
ROB LOWE is glad he is an actor - because he will be immortalised on the big screen like his close pal PATRICK SWAYZE.
The star appeared alongside Swayze in his breakthrough film, Francis Ford Coppola's The Outsiders, and was left devastated when the star died on 14 September (09) following a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer.
But the tragic news has made Lowe reflect on his own life and appreciate that he will forever be remembered through the films and TV shows he has been in.
He says, "He was like a brother to me. One of the great gifts we get (as actors) is that we live on, frozen in time, forever... Truly, the most fulfilling moments I've ever had are on the stage. If you can't have that as an actor, then you might as well at least have that other great thing, which is immortality."
