SWAYZE: 'I WON'T CHASE STAYING ALIVE'

PATRICK SWAYZE is refusing to change his diet and the way he lives in a bid to beat pancreatic cancer - so he can enjoy whatever time he has left.
The actor has been bravely battling the deadly disease for a year, and his health and condition have so far defied doctors' expectations.
Swayze reveals on top of "non-stop, hell on wheels" chemotherapy, he is also taking some Chinese herbs - but is determined to lead as normal a life as he can.
During an emotional interview with U.S. TV broadcaster Barbara Walters on Wednesday (07Jan08) night, the 56-year-old actor said, "There's one thing I'm not going to do, is chase staying alive. Because you spend so much time chasing staying alive, you don't live, and I wanna live."
Swayze adds he holds no stock in the many miracle cures and treatments he has been offered: "If anybody had that cure out there, like so many people swear to me they do, they'd be very rich and very famous. Otherwise shut up."
