SWASH SALUTES "AMAZING" I'M A CELEB WIN
Former EastEnders actor Joe Swash has described winning the latest series of I'm A Celebrity... as an "amazing" experience.
Described by former campmates Robert Kilroy-Silk, Timmy Mallett and Nicola McLean as "charismatic and down to earth"; "enthusiastic with a zest for life"; and "funny, upbeat and brilliant", respectively, the 26-year-old pipped ex-tennis ace Martina Navratilova and former Star Wars actor George Takei to the crown.
And in his exit interview with Ant and Dec on ITV1, Swash said: "It's been amazing.
"There've been some ups and downs, but it's finished on a really big high.
"The whole thing was a lovely experience, and I'm definitely coming out a much more mature man than when I went in. It's been worthwhile."
Asked about his friendship with Takei, which burgeoning throughout the series, Swash added: "I think I love the man - if he were a bird, I'd be all over him!"
