SUTHERLAND BUYS 'BARGAIN' MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR NEW YORK HOME

Actor KIEFER SUTHERLAND has purchased a new home in New York for $8.2 million (GBP4.4million) - millions less than its asking price
The New York Post reports the 24 star will join a host of other celebrities who have homes in the city's star-studded West Village, with neighbours including actresses Sarah Jessica Parker and Liv Tyler, and supermodel Gisele Bundchen.
According to real-estate listings, the five-storey, 19th-century Greek Revival townhouse remains unrenovated but includes plans for five bedrooms, "open living and entertaining spaces and (an) elevator" within its 4,750 square feet.
The townhouse was reportedly purchased in 2006 for $5.3 million (GBP2.9million) and put on the market last January (08) at an original asking price of $12.99 million (GBP7million).
