SURVIVOR'S HATCH GETS EARLY PRISON RELEASE
American reality TV star RICHARD HATCH has been released from a federal prison after failing to pay taxes on his winnings from hit show SURVIVOR.
Hatch, 47, was crowned the winner of Survivor: Borneo in 2000, but he was indicted and sentenced to four years behind bars in 2005 on charges of tax evasion on the $1 million (£662,250) plus he'd earned from the show, as well as TV appearances and property taxes.
Prison officials have confirmed he was released from a facility in Morgantown, West Virginia on 11 May (09) for good behaviour, and will spend the next six months in a halfway house in the area before going into supervised release. Hatch was originally due to be released in October (09).
