SUCHET TO RETIRE AS POIROT
British actor DAVID SUCHET will quit as his infamous character HERCULE POIROT when filming on the forthcoming APPOINTMENT WITH DEATH wraps. The 61-year-old has portrayed Agatha Christie's fictional Belgian detective in numerous TV films since the early 1980s, but reveals he is already planning his retirement from the murder mystery franchise. He says, "After filming in Appointment With Death in Jordan, I'm going to end it there. "I'm told it's quite warm in Jordan, so I'll be very hot in all my padding. But I've decided that I will hang up my spats (late 19th century shoe accessory) when I finish that story."
