STYX rocker TOMMY SHAW turns from SCROOGE to good guy every Christmas as he helps deliver toys to children of abused women. The COME SAIL AWAY star admits he's a cynic but his annual trip to House of Ruth shelters melts his heart. He says, "Every year we load up an SUV with as many gifts as we can for each one of the kids and their mothers. Each one is in charge of a bag full of Christmas presents and we're Santas' helpers wearing the Santa hat. "It's the best day of my year. This charity helps the battered mums get back on their feet and gives them a roof over their head. "The little kids are so sweet and they still believe in Santa Claus. They got their little Christmas outfits on and their hair combed and they're so well behaved. "It's just very sweet for a cynical old rock bastard like me. It cleans my clock once a year."
