STRUMMER HONOURED WITH GUITAR
THE CLASH frontman JOE STRUMMER will be honoured by guitar manufacturer Fender later this month (Jul07), when The Joe Strummer Telecaster goes on sale.
The late rocker, who died in 2002, played a 1966 Telecaster throughout his career, which he customised over the years by adding stickers, stencils and paint.
Artist Shepard Fairey has designed a customisation kit, which comes in a 12-inch record sleeve, containing stickers and stencils inspired by those found on Strummer's instrument.
