STONES BEAT U2 FOR BIGGEST ROCK CONCERT FILM DEBUT

THE ROLLING STONES have edged out U2 for the year's biggest rock concert film opening.
The Stones' new film Shine A Light, which was directed by Martin Scorsese, took in $1.5 million (GBP750,000) at the U.S. box office last weekend, according to Billboard - almost $500,000 (GBP250,000) more than U2's U23D debut in February (08).
But both concert films were dwarfed by Miley Cyrus' Hannah Montana Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour movie, which debuted with $29 million (GBP14.5 million) at the beginning of February (08).

Does anybody really care which rock concert film debut raked in the most money? Besides which, the U2 movie had limited showings in 3D theatres, competing only with Ms. Cyrus
