STONE THRILLED ABOUT RAP TRIO HONOUR

R+B star ANGIE STONE is celebrating after learning the all-girl rap trio which kicked off her career is to be inducted into the Hip-Hop Hall of Fame.
The singer is set to reteam with her old The Sequence bandmates for an honour ceremony in 2009 - and Stone is glad the threesome is being recognised at last, 30 years after scoring a gold record (in 1979).
She says, "If it wasn't for Sequence, there would be no Salt-N-Pepa; the respect wasn't there.
"Before any other female artists had singers, we were singing and rapping. We were the first to initiate that."
