STONE ROSES GUITARIST VOWS TO NEVER PLAY WITH BAND AGAIN

Stone Roses guitarist John Squire has declared he will never play with the band again.

Appearing on BBC's Newsnight last night Squire said he would never reform the Roses despite the recent media speculation.

Asked by host Gavin Esler if there was any chance if the band would get back together, the guitarist said: "None whatsoever".

"I'd rather live my life than attempt to rehash it," he continued.

"It would be pointless. I find art far more challenging and rewarding."

Squire added he hadn't spoken to frontman Ian Brown since leaving The Stone Roses in 1996.
