STONE DEFENDS HER CURVES
Soul singer JOSS STONE has hit out at critics who think she's too fat, insisting her curves landed her an advertising campaign with British confectionary giants Cadbury. Stone has been hired as the first celebrity face of Cadbury's Flake, with the advert following the company's tried and tested formula of a woman eating the chocolate bar suggestively. And the You Had Me singer claims she would never have landed the job if she was "stick-thin". She says, "I think they wanted someone normal - not a model who blatantly doesn't eat Flakes. I blatantly do - and on a regular basis. I love chocolate. "I'm not one of those stick-thin girls who survive on just lettuce leaves. I think it's much more beautiful to have a bit of flesh on you, and much more womanly too." Cadbury launched the chocolate bar in 1920 and the first TV adverts were first shown in 1959.
