Actress JULIA STILES' dream of turning writer SYLVIA PLATH's acclaimed novel The Bell Jar is taking shape - she will produce and star in the film adaptation of the book. Stiles has been wrangling for the rights for the autobiographical novel for years and now she'll play the lead character, depressed reporter Esther Greenwood, in the project. In the book, Greenwood undergoes electroshock therapy in a desperate bid to free herself of depression and attempts to take her life on several occasions.
