STEWART TO WED LANCASTER EARLY NEXT YEAR

ROD STEWART is planning to wed fiancee PENNY LANCASTER early next year (07), after his divorce from second wife RACHEL HUNTER was finalised last month (NOV06). Divorce papers signed by both the MAGGIE MAY rocker and model Hunter were filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on 2 November (06) and Stewart was spotted making marriage arrangements at a registry office near his Essex, England home earlier this month (DEC06). Model/photographer Lancaster gave birth to son ALASTAIR last year (05) - Stewart's seventh child - and she is expected to wed in January (07). Her spokesperson says, "It is a legal requirement to give notice of an intended marriage. "It was for this reason that the couple was seen in the local register office. "I can confirm... the couple will be getting married next year."
