STEWART: `NEWMAN IS A PHENOMENAL CREATURE'

Lifestyle queen MARTHA STEWART insists people are making far too much fuss about a photo of ailing PAUL NEWMAN she posted on her website earlier this month (Jun08).
The picture of a gaunt and frail Newman refuelled rumours the movie icon is dying of cancer.
But Stewart, who posed with her pal in the shot, insists details of Newman's health crisis are being overblown by the media.
She says, "He's 83 years old and he's a phenomenal creature. I mean, my God, he's still racing cars.
"(The photo caused) a big uproar because a lot of people haven't seen him, I guess.
"But he is non-stop and he was just as lively and enthusiastic about everything he does."
