STEWART CARRIES CBE MEDAL EVERYWHERE

Veteran rocker ROD STEWART is so proud of his title as a Commander of the British Empire (CBE), he carries the prestigious medal everywhere he goes.
The Maggie May hitmaker was hailed for his contributions to music in 2007 when he was included in Queen Elizabeth II's New Year's Honours list, and Stewart is so protective of the award, he keeps it on his person at all times.
He says, "I've got the award in my pocket. It's got little to do with the royal family, little to do with the government, it's actually given to you by the people of Great Britain in recognition of what you've done in your life, and obviously mine is music.
"I'm absolutely so proud of it so I bring it along with me."
