STEPHEN KING MUSICAL PLANNED

Horror writer STEPHEN KING has teamed up with rocker JOHN MELLENCAMP to create a new musical. The author, famed for his chilling tales, has written the script for Ghost Brothers Of Darkland County with Mellencamp scoring the soundtrack. The show is described as "a sultry Southern gothic mystery with a blues-tinged, guitar-driven score" and focuses on the story of the death of two brothers and a young girl and the legend that grows out of the tragedy. It will open at Atlanta's Alliance Theatre in April 2009 with the object of readying the production for a Broadway run.
