STAR TREK TO PREMIERE IN SYDNEY
The new Star Trek film will have its world premiere at the Sydney Opera House.
The sci-fi move, directed by Lost creator JJ Abrams, will be shown on April 7th, the film's producers have announced.
The Australian screening will then be followed by a world tour including New Zealand, Japan, France and the UK.
The film chronicles the early life of captain James T Kirk and the rest of the USS Enterprise crew.
Only Leonard Nimoy, now 77-years-old, is expected to make a cameo in the sequel.
Earlier this month the film's trailer was downloaded a record 1.8 million times within 24 hours of being released.
